Issue

AEC Panel Does Not Boot Properly

This service note applies to the following symptoms:

1. After applying power to the system, LED 8 on the Communications Board lights up.
2. After about 30 seconds, LED 3 lights up shortly and the CPU Board beeps.
3. Then LEDs 1, 3, 5, and 7 light up and the system beeps for about 45 seconds.
4. The beep stops, but the 4 LEDs continue to stay lit.

Solution

Cause:

• This occurs on the system when the SIM Card has not been properly installed in the Communication Board. It should be installed in the plastic locking bracket near the RS-485 terminal.

Solution:

1. Remove power from the system.
2. Mount the SIM Card following the instructions included in the SIM Card packaging.
3. Apply power to the AEC system.
