How to Backup an AEC1.0 or Allplex Database to a PC

How do you backup an AEC database to a computer?

Solution

1. Log into the AEC/Allplex system through your web browser.
2. Select  "Panel Admin" and the select "Database Backup".
3. In the "To PC" section, choose which option you want to backup and click on the finger icon.
4. A message will appear stating how long the backup will take. Select "OK".
5. Another screen will appear with the name and size of the backup. Select "Perform Download".
6. A screen will appear giving you an option to open or save to disk. Select "Save to Disk". Navigate to the location you want to save the backup file. Give your backup file a descriptive name. Click the save button.

Your database has now been successfully backed up.
