The comm server icon may not show up in the windows taskbar.
It is possible for the Communications Server (COMM Server) to be set to run as a Service. If this is the case, then the icon will not be seen in the task bar. To correct this:
1.Go to start, settings and control panel.
- Double click the "administrative tools" icon.
- Double click the "Services" icon.
- Scroll down all the services until you see the "LS Communication Server"
- Right click on this and select properties.
- Click the Log On tab.
- Verify "Local System Account" is selected and check "Allow service to interact with desktop"
- Click apply and ok. Close the services screen.
- Reboot the PC and start the comm server.
