How to Arm a 7000/9000 through GV4 Series Panel with an Active Fire Alarm

Issue

Can the system be armed while the keypad is in fire alarm?

Solution

If there is a fire alarm and the user enters his or her code into the keypad, it will silence the fire alarm. If they enter their code again, the intrusion system will arm even though the fire point is still tripped.

This is why Bosch recommends that the fire system to be on Area 1, because the test report is only generated from Area 1,  in addition to having  the Fire Area with a dedicated keypad. When using the D8125 for intrusion and fire, the fire system should be placed on its own D8125, which would require a D9412G. This would allow intrusion to be on Zonex 1 and fire on Zonex 2. Either zones 1-8 or a D8128D can be used for both intrusion or non-powered fire devices
