How to Configure CMD 47 For a Multi Area Panel 7000, 9000, G, GV2, GV3, GV4, New G Series

Issue

If I do a CMD 47 (Sensor Reset) in one area and there are points in another area that are connected to the same resettable power, will they go into trouble?

Solution

When a CMD 47 is initiated, the control panel does not accept alarms or troubles from any points with P## Resettable programmed as Yes

During the 5-second reset time, alarms or troubles from these points are ignored. This prompt only applies to the points that are in the same area as the keypad that activated the CMD 47. Points in other areas will go into alarm or trouble depending on how the point(s) is programmed.

Note: All keypads need to be programmed as Area Wide.

The solution to this is to assign each area requiring sensor reset (CMD 47) to an individual relay/ output for each area.
