How to determine the wiring requirements for the multiplex bus and zone loops.

Maximum wire length of the mux loop:
  • 22 AWG wire: up to 2000 feet.
  • 18 awg wire: up to 5000 feet.
  • Do not use shielded wire.
The maximum wire length of the input loop of a mux addressable module is 500 feet regardless of the wire gauge .
