All the prompts to Move to an Area are enabled in the menu item list without a passcode, but keep getting No Authority when I try to use this feature. What can be checked in the program to use this options?
Solution
Below are all the locations that need to be activated in order for this option to work in the menu item without a passcode.
9000MAIN items:
- Command Center Assignments - Make sure the scope is Panel Wide or Custom. NOTE: (The custom scope must include the areas that will be moved to).
- User Interface - Command Center Functions - Make sure that an “E” is next to Move to Area.
- User Interface - Authority Levels - Make sure that an “E” is in Move to Area for each Authority Level this option is valid in.
- Function List - Set 1 of the Menu Items to a Function of 30 and select YES for each CC Address this option is to work on.
At this point you can go to the menu option on your keypad and scroll to Move to Area via the NEXT or PREV key. Then select ENTER then it will ask the area in which you want to move. Enter that areas number and select ENTER again. You will now be within that particular area.
