How to program entry delay for motion detectors with a built in popit.

Documentation for most motions with a built in popit recommend programming as:
  •      Point type 2, point response E, no ring until restored.
  • The following motions use a built-in Popit:

    ZX776,  ZX794Z, , ZX835, ZX935Z, ZX938Z, ZX970

This type of programming does not provide for the entry delay that is sometimes required.

Motion detectors using built in Popits report a shorted condition to the control panel when faulted. These 'popit-motions' that use a tamper switch report a missing condition when the tamper is faulted.

When a delay response is required, use a point response of 6, 7 or 8 to start an entry delay on the faulted (short) condition.

Note below where a D (Delay) is displayed for point responses 6, 7 & 8.
