How to program Passcode Duress on the D7212B or D9112B.

Passcode Duress is configured globally in the Passcode Worksheet area of programming with the following "DURESS SETTING" options:

  • No Duress:  Passcode Duress is disabled for all users.
  • Duress = +1: Add "1" to the last digit to generate an alarm. For example, if the passcode is 6123, 6124 triggers a duress alarm Duress
    • If the last digit of the passcode is 0, a duress alarm is generated when the user enters 1 as the last digit of the passcode.
    • If the last digit of the passcode is 9, a duress alarm is generated when the user enters 0 as the last digit of the passcode.
  • Duress = +2:   Add "2" to the last digit to generate an alarm. For example, if the passcode is 6123, 6125 triggers a duress alarm Duress
    • If the last digit of the passcode is 8, a duress alarm is generated when the user enters 0 as the last digit of the passcode.
    • If the last digit of the passcode is 9, a duress alarm is generated when the user enters 1 as the last digit of the passcode.

Passcodes within 1 or 2 values of the last digit are not allowed regardless of the duress setting.
