How to program the monthly timer test for the 7000/9000 series panels

 To do a monthly timer test a SKED and a HOLIDAY INDEX will need to be created.

To create a holiday index in RPS:

  1. Go to SCHEDULES and then holiday indexes.
  2. Select "set schedule" for one of the holiday indexes (1-4).
  3. Go through each month and select the day that the test signal is to be sent. This day will repeat every year.

To create a holiday index in the D5200:

  1. Go to RADXSKED and enter group. (Be sure to receive a copy of the program before making any changes).
  2. Go to holiday indexes and enter group.
  3. Go to add/change/delete and enter group.
  4. At "date" enter the first month and day the test is to occur.
  5. Select which holiday index (1-4) this date will be used in.
  6. Repeat for each date that is to be used.

To create a test timer schedule in RPS:

  1. Go to SCHEDULES and then skeds.
  2. Select an unused sked (1-40) and enter a 9 for the function code.
  3. Select no both deferred and hourly.
  4. Enter the time that the test signal is to be sent.
  5. Leave the date "disabled".
  6. Leave all days set to no.
  7. Set "except on holidays" to yes.
  8. Select the holiday index that was created and set it to yes.

To create a test timer schedule in the D5200:

  1. Go to RADXSKED and enter group. (Be sure to receive a copy of the program before making any changes).
  2. Go to SKEDS and enter group.
  3. Select an unused sked (1-40) and enter a 9 for the function code.
  4. Select no both deferred and hourly and then exit group.
  5. Enter the time that the test signal is to be sent.
  6. Leave the date "disabled".
  7. Leave all days set to no.
  8. Set "except on holidays" to yes.
  9. Select the holiday index that was created and set it to yes.
