Can I upgrade one BVMS System to version 12.0.1 while keeping the other at 11.1.1 as unmanaged site?

• The B system with around 120 cameras

If the B system is upgraded to BVMS 12.0.1 while the core system remains on version 11.1.1, will there be any issues with the unmanaged site feature? Do both systems need to be on the same version?
