Answer

First, according to the BVMS Release Note, you have to make sure that the patch 353965: Combined patch to support CPP14.1 and CPP14.2 cameras in BVMS 11.0 has been applied.

Given that this patch is legacy, you will be required to sign and fill in the "Legacy SW/FW Request Form" with all necessary details and return it to Central Technical Support. See more info here: Bosch Video support - Firmware and Software requests

After applying the patch, if you are still unable to pass the authentication device steps, even that you managed to scan the cameras via scan wizard from Configuration Client and you could log in in the web browser successfully, try the following:

  • Enable RCP+ and HTTP

  • Uncheck the “Password policy enforcement” from the Compatibility tab

    • In such situation, it is necessary to ensure that that all users eg. service , user and live are password-protected.

      • Access the web interface of the IP camera using a web browser.

      • Navigate to Configuration → General → User Management

      • Set a password for all the users found in the user management page.

After this setting, the camera should manually be added and authenticate successfully.
