How to find the DIP serial number and the IPMI (BMC) information of DIVAR IP all-in-one?

Step-by-step guide

DIP serial number can be found in a number of ways:

1. Run DIVAR IP System Manager from the desktop; it will show the device information:

Note

Starting with BVMS 12.01, DIP 5000 AIO and AIO 7000 (gen 2) received System Manager.

Therefore, if you have System Manager installed on your DIP 5000 AIO/ DIP 7000 AIO (gen2), you can find there the SN of the unit.

2. Double-click the SuperDoctor 5 Web icon. Sign in using its *default credentials

*default credentials are available in the User Manual of the DIVAR model you are using

Go to System Info > Computer System> The SN will be displayed there

3. Use "wmic bios get serialnumber" on cmd or PowerShell:

IPMI information cannot be found within the software and is provided on the device itself. It can be found next to the BMC/IPMI port on the back of the device.

Use IPMI tool to check the SN of FRU via ASUSibandAP.

The path is as follows for reference: C:\Program Files\ASUSInbandAP\ipmitool

Run a CMD terminal > Press Start Button, Type "cmd" > right click and select “Run as administrator”

In cmd terminal type:

  • "cd C:\Program Files\ASUSInbandAP\ipmitool"

After that, please run the following commands:

  • "ipmitool.exe -I ms fru print" (check the SN )

  • "ipmitool.exe -I ms mc info" (to see if BMC is alive)

    • If the BMC is in the normal state, then a unit recovery may be required.
    • If the BMC is unusable, it may be required to replace the Motherboard.
