How to Onboard a Bosch Camera in Eagle Eye Networks Cloud VMS?
This guide provides the requirements and steps to integrate Bosch cameras into Eagle Eye Networks Cloud VMS.
Step-by-step guide
1. Pre-requisites
Bosch camera firmware: For CPP platforms older than CPP13 minimum FW version required is 7.10; for CPP 14 cameras minimum FW is 9.40 for edge analytics and best compatibility.
H.265 is currently not supported.
RTSPS must be disabled.
Stream Profiles: EEN needs the first or second stream for the main stream (H264), and the fourth or last stream (JPEG) for the preview stream.
Stream Copying: Not supported (automatically activated with Privacy Masks or Recording Profiles).
Device Analytics: Supported for CPP14+ cameras. Set up via Bosch Configuration Manager (CM; minimum version 7.70). The Bosch Configuration Manager is a standalone Windows application and can discover cameras only on the WAN side, or from a direct LAN connection.
Optional, CM: Under Access > Set security settings to “Optional” and Certificate requirements to “None”.
Recommendation: Please click here for further recommendations.
2. Step-by-Step Configuration
Open the device page and go to the Dashboard tab. Check the firmware version. Ensure it is 7.10 or above (9.40 for CPP 14 cameras).
Configuration tab > Select Service > System Overview. If an update is needed, go to Maintenance, use the Check option to find the firmware on Bosch’s website (Bosch Camera Firmware), download, and upload it to the camera.
Click Camera > Installer Menu. Set Coding Standard to H.264. If unavailable, proceed to Step 4.
Select Encoder Streams. Set one stream to H.264 and one to JPEG. Preferably, Stream 1 and Stream 2 should be H.264, and the last stream JPEG.
Note:
JPEG resolution should not exceed 1280x720. If JPEG is incompatible, use H.264. Refer to the compatibility list for specific models.
Stream Copying: Not supported (automatically activated with Privacy Masks or Recording Profiles).
5. Click Network > Network Services. Disable RTSPS.
Troubleshooting:
In case of choppy video playback on iOS, in order to improve performance:
Upgrade to the latest CPP firmware.
Disable b-frames by setting the GOP structure to IP (Camera > Encoder Profile).
Adjust stream profile settings as needed.
3. Adding cameras to the EEN Cloud VMS
Log in to your EEN Cloud VMS account.
In the Dashboard, click the black Plus icon, “add cameras” to see all available cameras.
Click the plus sign next to the camera name to add it to the EEN Bridge or CMVR.
Configure initial settings (camera name, cloud retention period, tags).
Enter the camera’s username and password.
Click Add Camera.
The camera will appear under Bridges/Cameras.
Repeat for all cameras you want to add.

The EEN Camera Support team will keep you updated on the status of your request via email. Once support is complete, EEN sends a confirmation email.
4.3 Can I also connect my Bosch camera without using an EEN Bridge or CMVR (Cloud Managed Video Recorder)?
No. Direct-to-Cloud connectivity is under development.
