How to upgrade FLEXIDOME IP outdoor 5000i or starlight 6000 VR from firmware v.6.32 to the latest FW available?
If you have FLEXIDOME IP outdoor 5000i (FW 6.43.0027) or FLEXIDOME starlight 6000 VR (FW 6.32.0109) cameras and you would like to upgrade them to the latest FW version available, but you are not sure which is the intermediate version that will allow you to do this, please follow the steps below.
Step-by-step guide
You will need to use the combined firmware file in order to be able to upgrade the cameras to the latest firmware version. It also contains the intermediary firmware version 6.50, without which it's not possible to upgrade to a higher version.
This file can be used for:
- CPP7.3 UHD/HD/MP cameras
- CPP7 HD/MP cameras
- CPP6 UHD/MP cameras
- CPP5 encoders
- CPP4 HD cameras
- CPP3 cameras and encoders
- CPP-ENC H.264 encoders
To upgrade to a newer firmware version using this combined firmware package, you will need to upload this firmware file more than once until the intended firmware version is installed.
Since intermediate firmware versions might have vulnerabilities that are fixed in later versions, it is advised to always install up to the most recent version.
