Unexplained peaks in DATA overconsumption on NBE-3702-AL & NUE-3702-F02
System overview:
The DINION 3100i IR and FLEXIDOME micro 3100i cameras:
· are connected to the BOSCH Remote portal.
· are integrated in BOSCH VIDEO Security version 3.3.4.57
· have FW version 9.40.134
· are connected to a 4G router
· are configured to record at 30fps in full resolution
· are set to record continuously 24/7 and stored footage on a 256 GB SD card for 30 days.
Possible causes and solution(s)
Symptoms
DINION 3100i IR and FLEXIDOME micro 3100i cameras have an overconsumption of 30 GB/ day.
Causes
This unexplained peak of overconsumption is likely due to the limited size of the SD card and the fact that the cameras are recording non-stop (continuous recording).
For example, with a recording bitrate of 0.8 Mbps, one camera would typically use around 70 GB per day — far more than what a 256 GB SD card can hold over 30 days. As a result, the system tries to compress or re-record often, which can lead to unexpected spikes in data use.
Solution
SD cards are not recommended to be used for continuous recording due to their limited capacity. More suitable for these kinds of installations would be Alarm recording.
To solve this excessive data usage, it is recommended to lower the bitrates. Please keep in mind that this will also
lower the image quality.

Nice to know:
Remote access to the cameras is possible, and alarm-based recording can be configured on the SD card. However, the performance of the system may be limited due to the storage capacity.
