What could be the reason why the HPE Gen10 server doesn't appear online in the Operator Client on a workstation?
Question
What could be the reason why the HPE Gen10 server doesn't appear online in the Operator Client on a workstation?
Answer
If the HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 server does not appear online when opening the Operator Client on a workstation, the issue is likely due to a version incompatibility between the server and the workstation.
For example, the server may have BVMS 12.3 installed, while the workstation is running BVMS 12.2.
According to the BVMS System Design Guide, section 9.1 - Compatibility, the workstation must have at least the same version as the server, or a newer one:
“An operator client cannot connect to a newer (Enterprise) Management Server: the Operator Client needs to be of a higher version than the (Enterprise) Management Server.”
To resolve this issue, it is recommended to upgrade the workstation to the same version as the server, or higher version.
You can download the latest BVMS version from the Download Area | Bosch Security and Safety Systems.
