Which is the best practice for a planned shutting down and powering up a BVMS system?

Question

Which is the best practice for a planned shutting down and powering up a BVMS system?

Answer

Best practice for a planned shutdown would be:

  1. First, the BVMS Central Server can be shut down
  2. then the VRM(s)
  3. then the cameras
  4. and as last step the storage servers.

Power up steps would be performed in reverse:

  1. Storage servers first, and when they can receive data…
  2. then cameras
  3. then VRM(s)
  4. then BVMS Central Server
