Why does the MIC IP starlight 7100i display green tint in the image (mercury vapor lighting)?

Question

Why does the MIC IP starlight 7100i display green tint in the image (mercury vapor lighting)?

Answer

Mercury vapor lights are banned in many countries. There are a variety of phosphor coatings used by different lighting brands resulting in different color temperatures.

Due to the fact that mercury vapor light is not commonly used & low demand globally, Bosch will not optimize the white balance for the camera under such lighting source.
