How can I factory default the AUTODOME IP starlight 7000i using the reset button (hard reset)?

Answer

In certain situations, such as when the camera fails to start or the image becomes frozen, a factory reset of the AUTODOME IP Starlight 7000i may be necessary.

Before proceeding to reset the camera to factory defaults, please note that this action will delete all camera settings, including passwords, network configurations, and image settings.

The below steps should be followed only if you have no other option to restore operation to the camera:

1. Apply power to the camera.

2. Find the IP address of the camera.

3. Log on to the camera using the web browser. (Note: You can use Configuration Manager to identify the IP address.)

4. Find the reset terminal on the camera - the reset terminal is located on the camera body, remove the camera bubble to access it. (Refer to the figures below)

5. With the power on, create a loop with conductive wire on the connector to cause a short circuit in the two (2) terminal pins.

6. Hold the loop on the terminal pins for more than ten (10) seconds.

7. The red LED indicator on the PCBA board will start flashing red showing that the hardware reset began, and the loop can be removed

8. Let the camera complete a self-check. When the self-check completes, the red LED will go off.

9. Find the IP address again.

 10. Access the camera using the web browser.

  11. Set the initial service-level password for the camera.
