How to Diagnose AC FAIL on DS7400 Series Panel


Issue

Entering #87 on keypad displays AC power failure.

Solution

  1. The transfomer is unplugged.

  2. The wiring from the transformer is defective.

  3. The circuit to the transformer is off or defective.

  4. The transformer is defective.

  5. The transformer may be connected to a circuit controlled by a switch or a circuit breaker that is periodically turned off.

  • Plug the transformer in.

  • Check the wiring.

  • Check the circuit and circuit breaker.

  • Replace the transformer.

  • Connect to a circuit that is not controlled this way.

  • Make sure the transformer is less than 50ft from the panel.
