How To: Do a C601 line test

Answer

1. Disconnect the radio receiver from the DB9 connector on the back of the RF transmitter card.

2. Take a C601 encoder without the transmitter and wire it to the DB9 as follows:

DB9                                C601
Green                               Terminal #6, 12 VDC
Blue                                  Terminal #7, Ground
Black                                Terminal #2, Data

The C601 encoder LED will stay on solid for 20 sec, and then begin to transmit. You should see and hear signals on the D6500 and D6600.
