Can I control physical Bosch camera features like wipers and IR or white light illuminators in Milestone XProtect?

With Bosch SmartSuite for Milestone XProtect, operators can control physical camera accessories directly from the XProtect Smart Client—inside the cameo without leaving the live-video interface.

Supported Controls:

• Wipers: enable, disable, intermittent, or single-shot

• White light illuminators: enable or disable

• Infrared (IR) illuminators: enable, disable, or set to automatic

These controls are available in real time for Bosch camera models equipped with these features.

How It Works:

• When a supported Bosch camera is onboarded and SmartSuite is deployed, the system automatically detects available accessories.

• A new “Accessories” button appears in the Smart Client taskbar for each camera view.

• Operators can toggle wipers, IR, and white light directly from the camera’s video tile in case the camera possesses one or multiple of those physical features.
