Does Bosch camera support SNMP traps for 'Power supply' and 'Poe-granted-power'?
Question
Does Bosch camera support SNMP traps for 'Power supply' and 'Poe-granted-power'?
Answer
The SNMP traps related to “Power supply” and “Poe-granted-power” are available only on specific Bosch camera models and under certain conditions.
Below is a detailed overview of their functionality:
Power Supply Trap
This trap is only applicable to devices with multiple power sources that are detectable by the firmware.
Currently, no Bosch devices use this trap. The last device to support it was the VIPX1600.
PoE-Granted-Power Trap
Applicable only to cameras that support dynamic PoE level adjustments.
Confirmed working on:
MIC 7000i
AUTODOME 7000i
(Both running on CPP 7.3)
Not supported on:
AUTODOME 4000
AUTODOME 5000
Pending testing:
Cameras based on CPP13 and CPP14
Note
These SNMP traps function only on cameras that provide the relevant capability.
The PoE-granted-power trap appears to function only on moving (PTZ) cameras, based on internal testing.
