How can I get Operator Client to trust the Management Server certificate automatically on startup?
Question
How can I get Operator Client to trust the Management Server certificate automatically on startup?
Answer
For scenario with Valid certificate: Operator Client and Management Server are running on separate systems (hardware/operating system):
If TLS certificate validation is enabled during setup, the Operator Client checks the Management Server’s certificate at startup.
Message: “The identity of the server cannot be verified. Contact your system administrator”

You need to install the Management Server’s VmsRoot Certificate on the Operator Client’s operating system. This ensures the connection is trusted automatically when the Operator Client starts.
How to do this:
On the Management Server, open the certificate store: Manage computer certificates > Local Computer > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates

Find and export the VmsRoot certificate.

Paste it where Operator Client is installed:

Import this exported certificate into the certificate store on every Operator Client’s operating system.

Click OK and Log in to Operator Client.
