Why cannot I add DINION 3100i IR camera (NBE-3702-AL – CPP14.3) in BVMS v11.1.1?

When attempting to add the DINION 3100i IR camera (NBE-3702-AL – CPP14.3) to BVMS v11.1.1, the “Retrieving device capabilities failed” error message could occur.

Please note that, according to the BVMS v11.1.1 Release Letter, CPP 14.3 cameras are not compatible with BVMS v11.1.1. This incompatibility could cause the “Retrieving device capabilities failed” error.

CPP 14.3 cameras are supported starting with BVMS v12.1 and later.

Also, the BVMS 11.1.1 patch for CPP14 (Fix: 434923, 428521 - FW9.00 improvements, Patch file version: rcpp4x64.dll, 5.2.0.67) will not resolve this issue, as CPP14.3 cameras are inherently incompatible with BVMS v11.1.1.

Therefore, you should upgrade BVMS to v12.1 or higher to add CPP14.3 cameras successfully via the Configuration Client.
