Can I achieve the 704x480px resolution of the DINION IP starlight 7000 HD camera's image after FW upgrade from v6.11 to v7.10?

Question

Can I achieve the 704x480px resolution of the DINION IP starlight 7000 HD camera's image after FW upgrade from v6.11 to v7.10?

Answer

After upgrading the firmware (e.g., from v6.11 to v7.10), the RTSP stream in VLC may display a different resolution or image because the camera can output a different encoder stream, resolution mode, or cropping behavior than before, even if the browser UI settings appear similar.

In this case, the camera could deliver 704×480 resolution before, but after upgrading the Firmware from v6.11 to v7.10, the RTSP link for accessing the camera’s stream resulted in 704×576 output.

By adjusting the Video Stream and Encoder Profile settings as in the attached pictures below and using the RTSP link format (e.g., rtsp://user:password@ip_address), the requested 704×480 resolution can be achieved.
