Can the MIC inteox 7100i (MIC-7602-Z30B) be powered using an Axis T8154 PoE injector?
Question
Can the MIC inteox 7100i (MIC-7602-Z30B) be powered using an Axis T8154 PoE injector?
Answer
Powering the MIC-7602-Z30B camera with an Axis T8154 PoE injector is not expected to work properly.
The main reason is that the output voltage of the Axis T8154 midspan does not match the power specifications required by MIC series cameras, it provides a lower voltage than what is needed.
Below is a comparison between Axis T8154 and the Bosch recommended midspan model, based on their datasheets:
Model | Output Voltage | Power Output |
|---|---|---|
Axis T8154 60 W SFP Midspan | 55 V DC | Max 60 W |
Bosch NPD-6001B Midspan | 54–57 V DC (nominal) | 60 W |
According to the MIC-7602-Z30B datasheet, the following High Power PoE Midspans are recommended and officially supported:
NPD-6001B Midspan, 60W, single port, AC in 60 W indoor midspan for cameras without illuminators
NPD-9501A Midspan, 95W, single port, AC in 95 W indoor PoE midspan
NPD-9501-E Midspan 95W 1 port outdoor 95 W outdoor PoE midspan
Since the Axis T8154 midspan does not meet the 56V nominal voltage requirement of MIC inteox 7100i, it cannot be guaranteed that this setup may be functional.

Note: Before connecting any midspan to a Bosch camera, always verify the power specifications mentioned in the camera's datasheet.
