Question
Why does a DIVAR IP 4000 display a "Storage failure" message and stop recording?
Answer
This error message may appear when the DIVAR IP is configured with two IP addresses.
Even if the system may have worked correctly initially, this configuration is not supported.
Note:
It may have functioned because the VRM was communicating with the cameras using the IP address on the same network as the cameras.
If the VRM switches to the second IP address, which is not on the same network as the cameras, it can no longer communicate with the cameras and recording stops.
To resolve the issue:
-
Configure the DIVAR IP with only one IP address.
-
Ensure the IP address is on the same network range as the cameras.
-
Restart the DIVAR IP
-
Check if the recording has resumed and that the Storage failure message is no longer displayed.
