Question
Is it possible to migrate the BVMS and VRM configurations from a DIVAR IP all-in-one to a Virtual Machine?
Answer
Yes, the BVMS and VRM configurations can be migrated from a DIVAR IP all-in-one to a Virtual Machine without any issues.
If the DIVAR IP unit is currently operating as a BVMS system, it is possible to migrate and deploy only the BVMS and VRM on a virtual machine, while keeping the DIVAR IP as iSCSI storage only.
To do this:
copy the Elements files and UserData folder from C:\ProgramData\Bosch\VMS.
Note: The Program Data folder may be hidden.
transfer these files to the virtual machine
Additionally, please note that new BVMS licenses will be required for the new server, as the licenses are linked to the system’s hardware ID/fingerprint.
