According to the product datasheet, the housing and camera can be powered either through PoE Ethernet cable or, if PoE is not available, via an external 12 VDC power supply.

If the housing does not operate when the UHO-POE-10 is connected to a 12 VDC power supply (e.g., neither the LED, nor the heater turns on), follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Check that the polarity of the power connection is correct.
Check the switch button that changes between PoE and 12 VDC power.
Set the switch to the correct position for 12 VDC
Once set to the correct position, the housing should start working.
