BVMS Viewer: MBV-BVWR

See product page

The BVMS Viewer base license, is free of charge. The BVMS Viewer, is not used as a video management system as it has no alarm management functionality but rather for viewing live video or playback of some cameras. It includes 16 cameras already, and can support up to 500, when adding, expansion licenses.

  • Get live view and playback of local cameras;

  • The system may not be in operation 24/7 as the recording is not managed by the BVMS Viewer but by the cameras itself (SD card) or by the DVR;

  • Connect to a remote BVMS site on demand;

  • Entry solution for smaller camera installations where a feature rich VMS including alarm management is not yet needed.

BVMS Lite: MBV-BLIT

See product page

The BVMS Lite, is a free of charge license which supports already a lot of features, and includes also some devices licenses for free. It is perfect for demonstration purpose, or for smaller systems with a limited number of cameras. 8 are included, and expansion is possible up to 42.

This is just a system design example where the BVMS base license “Lite” can be used. Regarding the amount of storage devices, it depends on the project demands, related to resilience, and capacity.

BVMS Professional + Subsystems = Enterprise

BVMS Enterprise is a perfect solution to either grow on camera beyond 2000 or to allow operation of multiple remote sites with independent BVMS system in a headquarters building. It allows for centralized alarm management, live view and playback of all sites, using Enterprise Operator Clients.

The combination of a BVMS Professional base license and additional subsystem expansion licenses is the fundament for a BVMS Enterprise System.

The independent remote BVMS systems are called “Subsystems”, where 100 is the maximum and there is no subsystem included in the Professional base license. An independent subsystem can be of any BVMS base license type. There is no Enterprise base license anymore as a Professional base license can be enhanced with subsystems to form an Enterprise system.

There are 2 limits which are important:

  • The number of simultaneously connected cameras within one Enterprise Operator Client is 14.000

  • Up to 200.000 cameras can be configured in Enterprise but not simultaneously within one Operator Client. When connecting 2 Operator Clients in parallel, for example, 28.000 cameras are directly accessible.

This is the overview of BVMS base licenses, and the information about Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA):

⚠️ A valid SMA period allows for technical support services, new software updates, und security patches.

When ordering a new base license, there is no SMA extension included for free.

How to grow?

The BVMS scalability offer the option to grow from 8 cameras up to 200.000 just with licenses. No need to change the software.

The investment of expansion licenses (e.g. to connect more cameras) cand be transferred to the next higher base license.

For example: 200 channel expansion licenses, from a “Plus” base license can be commercially moved to a “Professional” base license.

(tick) Please always get in contact with your local partner if you like to convert a base license when growing on devices.
