What should I do if VSG is not used on the DIVAR IP, but VSG services cause a low virtual memory condition?
Question
What should I do if VSG is not used on the DIVAR IP, but VSG services cause a low virtual memory condition?

Answer
If your DIVAR IP stops recording and displays a “low virtual memory condition” message, it could be caused by the VSG services (vsg_worker.exe or vsg_connector.exe) consuming excessive memory, even if VSG is not in use. It might happen to encounter the behavior of your DIVAR IP which stops recording and needs to be restarted to work properly.
Recommended steps:
Disable or uninstall VSG services if you are not using VSG at all.
If the issue persists, back up your configuration and perform a DIVAR IP recovery.
Important:
Before disabling or uninstalling VSG, verify whether VSG is used with any third-party cameras. If it is, please provide the Central Technical Support team with the following information for further investigation:
BVMS version in use
Total number of cameras on the system
Breakdown of Bosch vs. third-party cameras
Number of VSG instances and cameras configured per instance
System Fingerprint and Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) status:
How to check the Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) status of BVMS version 11.x or higher via Remote Portal?
For support details, please refer to our SMA policy here: Bosch Building Technologies Software Service and Support definitions
Additional note:
DIVAR IP All-In-One appliances are not designed to replace a workstation for live viewing. While the Operator Client can be used temporarily to view configuration changes, it consumes significant system resources. If RAM is fully utilized, the system will rely on virtual memory, which may slow overall performance.
