Why the “Carrier loss detected” message appears on DINION 3100i IR?

“The "Carrier loss detected!" message was introduced with firmware 9.40. It is triggered when the camera experiences a network link loss.

For CPP 7.3 cameras, there is a similar message like "Network link status changed".

This message “Carrier loss detected”, appears when the Ethernet interface is reconnecting or negotiating.

For example, during reboot, when the network connection is lost for a few seconds, this is detected as a carrier loss by the HW controlling Ethernet.

To test this, try the following:

Reboot the camera or
Change the camera network side to 10MbHD (Configuration Manager -> Network -> Network access -> Interface mode ETH 1)

In both situations, the message "Carrier loss detected!” will appear.
