Why the option to change the ‘user’ password doesn’t appear in BVMS Configuration Client?

Answer
When attempting to change the password for the ‘user’ account in BVMS Configuration Client, the option doesn’t appear in the dropdown list.
Even if the password was changed successfully in the camera’s web interface (and works for login there), the password in not automatically updated in BVMS Configuration Client.
This option is unavailable because a CHAP password is set, and it pushes the password for the ‘user’ account.
Disabling the CHAP password will allow to easily change the password for the ‘user’ account.
To do that, please refer to the article below and reverse the steps described for setting the CHAP password.

⚠️ If a CHAP password is required in your environment, do not forget to set it back, after reversing the steps described in the article above and after setting the user password.
