The Bosch Security Systems Software License Manager (SLMS) is approaching its end of life. The existing licensing portal at https://activation.boschsecurity.com will be permanently shut down effective October 1, 2026.

This change affects multiple product domains:

  • BVMS

  • Monitor Wall

  • Decoders

  • AMS

  • BIS

  • APE

With the shutdown of SLMS, its core functionalities will no longer be available. After the cutoff date, it will no longer be possible to activate new licenses, perform license upgrades, or generate maintenance and licensing reports via the portal. In addition, direct customer access to legacy licensing data for systems that have not yet been migrated will no longer be available. Any further license-related actions in such cases will require support involvement.

The successor platform for license management is the Bosch Remote Portal, which is already in use for newer software versions and will become the standard moving forward. Systems that have been migrated to current versions—such as newer releases of BVMS, AMS, or BIS—are already leveraging this platform and are not affected by the SLMS shutdown. The transition is therefore an essential step to ensure continued license availability and long-term system operability.

We strongly recommend using the remaining transition period until September 30, 2026 to prepare for this change. This includes migrating existing licenses to the Remote Portal where applicable and securing all relevant licensing information. Important data such as Hardware IDs, licensing account details, and maintenance or extension reports should be exported and stored safely, as they may be required for future migration or support scenarios.
